To be the Chamption of the High Point, a contestant must have the highest points in any two of the following events (bronc riding, bull riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling).
Under the rules set forth by the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association in order for a competitor to win the all-around crown, one must compete in a rough stock (saddle bronc, bareback, bulls) and timed event (tie-down roping, steer wrestling).
